There is no BYO food or Alcohol policy.
A Host Responsibly Policy applies to all bookings – please refer to website for further information.
Gift Cards/Vouchers
Gift cards/vouchers are non transferrable, cannot be redeemed for cash, and must be redeemed on a single occasion. No credit or change can be given on unused amounts. Should the total spend be more than the value of the gift card/voucher, the customer will be charged the difference. Wallingford will charge the credit card used upon check-in for the difference the actual booking depending on the rate chosen by the recipient upon redeeming their gift acrd/voucher with the Reservations team. Gift Cards are valid for 24 months after purchase. Normal Terms & Conditions apply as outlined following.
Check-in and check-out times
Check-in is from 3 pm to 7 pm UNLESS PRIOR ARRANGEMENTS ARE MADE.
Check-out is between 7 and 10 AM (11 AM on public holidays) unless prior arrangements have been made. A late check-out fee may apply.
Alcohol; service of and supply
There is a strict no BYO alcohol policy.
The alcohol service is from 3 pm. The last drinks are called at 10.30 pm. Please refer to our Host Responsibility Policy for further information.
For access to alcohol outside of these hours, do let us know, as we’ll supply your room with a minibar fridge that will be restocked daily and charged to your account upon departure. Guests are expected to return back to their rooms no later than 12 midnight. Should groups/guests extend beyond this time - a service fee applies.
Final Payment
A Final payment of beverage and extra costs will be billed at the end of the stay. This needs to be settled upon departure (unless prior arrangement is made).
FIT Cancellation policy
Due to our intimate size, cancellations affect us significantly. As a result, we adhere to a strict cancellation policy.
61 days out. Cancel with no penalty.
31 - 60 days prior. Wallingford will charge 50% of the total bookings value unless the booking is moved to an alternative date (One change of date only, no refund of deposit).
30 – 16 days. If the reservation is cancelled fewer than thirty days before your visit, 50% of the total booking value will be charged by Wallingford.
15 days prior. If the reservation is cancelled in less than fifteen days, we charge 100 % of the total value of the booking.
Child Policy
Wallingford is ideally an adult retreat. However, when the house is booked exclusively, arrangements can be facilitated. Please talk to our team for these enquires.
o Cot/Crib – Free of charge (assuming own food supplied).
o 15 years and over Adults rates apply.
o Children aged 2 – 14 on request. $300 plus GST applies for a child on a rollaway and food costs.
Exclusive Use
A two night minimum (on the Whole House Rate) applies on a Friday/Sat/Sun. This package includes 5 Meals ( 2 dinners, 1 lunch, 2 breakfasts) and access to all day cake and coffee/tea station.
During the week, happy to take bookings for a single day Whole House Exclusive Use booking.
Environmental Policy
Wallingford constantly looks for ideas to minimise the impact the property has on its surrounding environment and it is our aim to be a truly authentic eco tourism operator by giving back to our local community in a positive way. We are proud of our Qualmark Five Star Plus – Silver award.

Meals
There is no BYO policy or cooking facilities avaliable.
Breakfast is served from 8.30 to 9.30 am.
Dinner Commences at 6.30 pm for a 7 pm sitdown.
Dietaries must be received 48 hours before guest arrival. Lunch/Other meals are by pre-arrangement only.
we currently do not offer a vegan option.
Note the dining room is open to the public from Thursday to Saturday evenings(unless you have an Exclusive Use Whole House Booking).
Use of Common Room areas
For the comfort of all guests, please respect the “quiet time” in the house of between 12 midnight and 6AM.
Unless you have booked exclusive use of the house, please be considerate of other patrons and vacate the common areas of Wallingford at 12 midnight. You can request to use the POOL PAVILLION area UNTIL the early hours of the morning by prior arrangement – an hourly service fee MAY apply FOR GROUPS OF GREATER THAN SIX.
Conditions of Force Majeure/Forced Circumstances (COVID 19 POLICY)
The safety and well being of our staff and guests is of utmost importance, we have declared Force Majeure/Forced Circumstances (FM).
Where FM conditions apply for instances (but not limited to) in some/certain/specific situations where reservations are:
by travellers who have been to an area affected by a coronavirus and are prevented from travelling as a result
by travellers who have been banned from entering the location, they intended to travel to due to coronavirus
by travellers who face suspension of on-arrival visas due to coronavirus
we are forced to close our doors, either by choice or through regulatory requirement.
For reservations effected under FM circumstances, either one of the following will apply;
A) new dates for a future stay (different rates may apply), or
B) a voucher issued by the property for a future stay, to the value paid by the guest.
If the case of unforeseen circumstances such as: a natural disaster, war, fire, terrorism, or another similar event that is beyond our control, we will provide a refund less any unrecoverable costs.
Cancellation by Wallingford Ltd.
From time to time, events outside of our control may mean that your reservation will be cancelled (or moved to another date). We will attempt to give as much notice as possible in these circumstances, but understand that your travels may have already commenced. We will guarantee a full refund of the amount paid to this establishment or issue a voucher that can be used later (equal or to higher amount at our discretion). We do not compensate for travel arrangements or costs associated with your booking at this establishment. We will assist you where possible to find alternative accommodation.
Privacy and Data Policy
The data you supply to us via enquiry forms, or when communicating with us by any other method, is used to respond to your enquiry. If you decide to book a holiday with us we may share limited information with our suppliers to enable reservations to be made (such as names, country of origin and ages) to ensure that suitable and correct services are supplied.
We do not share email information or any other contact details with other parties.
If you have consented, we will retain your contact details for marketing purposes. Any marketing emails from us will give you the option to unsubscribe. On request, you can see all and any data we hold about you.
Our rights
We reserve the right to amend pricing at any time.
By staying at this establishment, you will be bound to the Host Responsibility policies around the RESPONSIBLE service of alcohol. any guests that act inappropriately, UNRULY, offensively or do not abide by the policies outline, will be asked to settle their full account (including used and unused accommodation/food costs) and immediately leave the Wallingford Grounds and surrounding property.
Wallingford Ltd reserves the right to charge for damage to property caused by guests.
Only paying guests are allowed onto the property. Visitors to the property must be by pre-arrangement only.
The company, its employees, independent contractors, suppliers and any person acting on behalf of the company accept no responsibility for damage or loss to property or person however caused.
Hotel Guidelines
TheHomestead has a no-smoking policy in all suites and shared common areas. To smoke, please speak with a member of staff to be guided accordingly.
Pets may not be brought onto the premises with the exception of guide dogs. Guests shall comply with all rules, regulations and instructions at Wallingford Homestead, including but not limited to security procedures, health and safety procedures and registration requirements.
Wallingford Homestead e shall be entitled to refuse a guest entry or accommodation or to require a guest to leave the premises if unreasonable behaviour is displayed, be it threatening or abusive, causing disturbance to other guests or otherwise unacceptable.
Limitation of Liability
Wallingford Homestead and its staff shall not be liable for any loss of or damage to a guest’s property which is:
Caused or contributed to by the negligence of the guest or a reason of the type listed in the preceding paragraph; or not promptly reported to Wallingford Homestead.
On discovery, Wallingford Homestead shall not be liable for loss of or damage to a guest’s property except when proved to be caused through the negligence or willful misconduct of Wallingford Homestead.
Wallingford Homestead does not accept any liability for loss or damage to a guest’s vehicle unless caused by Wallingford Homestead negligence or willful misconduct.
Guests shall be liable for any loss, damage or personal injury they may cause at Wallingford Homestead.
Wallingford Homestead may engage appropriate transfer operators and other providers to coordinate and provide certain services. The transfer operators and other providers are solely responsible for and liable for providing their respective services. Guests are also subject to specific terms and conditions imposed by other providers.
Property Disclaimer
Wallingford Homestead is set on a working farm and in a natural environment containing animals, fauna and flora that may be dangerous if at close contact. While every effort is made by the staff and management of Wallingford Homestead to ensure the safety of its guests, guests acknowledge as a condition of making their bookings that neither Wallingford Homestead nor any of its staff shall be liable for the death or injury of any of its guests or for any direct, indirect or consequential loss or damage whatsoever (save where caused by the negligence or wilful misconduct of Wallingford Homestead) suffered by any of its guests arising out of or in connection with use of the facilities and activities offered by Wallingford Homestead, in particular (but not limited to) these involving wildlife, and the guest, by making a booking, releases Wallingford Homestead and its staff from all or any such liability.
Lost Property
Where items belonging to guests have been found by a member of Wallingford Homestead personnel, and where the owner can be clearly identified, guests will be contacted and any confirmed item returned to them by registered mail. In the event the owner of any found item cannot be identified, it will logged and held in security for a period of three months. If after this period the owner of the lost article has not contacted the property or has otherwise been identified, the article will be disposed of. In the event the lost article may be of tangible benefit, the lost article will be given to a local charity organisation after the three-month period has lapsed.
